Women, Space + Dance Documentary

I’m extremely proud to have directed and produced my first documentary. A documentary that is so needed for all women, not just in dance. As a woman, I have struggled continuously to take my space whether that be in my personal or work life. This documentary features four other amazing women with their own voice and truth. We explore issues such as Taking up that space, Motherhood, Queer Identity, Abortion, Hidden Disabilities.

I personally have been postponing this work, as it feels almost fraud like to post a beautiful piece of work without admitting recently my own truth of having an abortion at the start of the year. I’m not in the space to communicate or evaluate it yet, but I am okay with saying me too. I choose me, myself and my career always. Whilst filming my segment I think it was a few days after the abortion, it all feels like a blur but if that doesn’t show how incredible we as women are. Here’s to normalising all the issues we voice in the documentary, and to allowing these voices being heard.

Lastly I want to always give my gratitude to all those involved. You made this the most beautiful and natural process. I thank you all for your time, energy and vulnerability. Here is to change, growth and love.
